37th General Convocation of the University of Jaffna will be held on the 19th, 20th and 21st of July 2023 for the conferment of Postgraduate Degrees, Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas. Those of you who have passed the following examinations and are eligible to be conferred a degree at the above 37th Convocation are kindly requested to supplicate from 23.06.2023 to 04.07.2023 at 9.00 am.

Instructions
Submission of Supplication Forms
All Graduands are hereby requested to submit their supplication forms on or before 04.07.2023 at 9.00 am via online, using the University website.The following documents will be required to be uploaded to process applications. Therefore, please have the documents scanned into either ‘jpeg’ or ‘jpg’ formats, not exceeding the image size of 2MB for each scanned document.

- Form for the Declaration of Names in three languages (only for undergraduates)
After completion of the online application procedure, the graduands must download the application form and sign the printed pdf file and send it to the following address by registered post with originals of the above-mentioned documents. Please indicate “37th General Convocation- (Student Registration Number: …….)” on the top left-hand corner of the envelope to reach the following address on or before 07.07.2023.

Method of Payment
Payments should be made at any branch of the Peoples’ Bank in favour of the University of Jaffna collection account. Please note that payments cannot be made via online for this purpose. Please write your Name and Student Registration Number in the Bank slip indicating appropriate reference number as given below:

Please write one of the above reference number in the deposit slip as reference number according to your degree type and according to whether you receive the degree award attending in person or in absentia. Please note that Bank will not accept any deposit without Reference Number as above.
Note: The graduands those who opt to get their degree In- Absentia need not pay their cloak hire fee and photo fee.
Cloak
Graduands who supplicate to receive degree ‘In Person’ will be issued a cloak for the convocation at the Record Room of the University of Jaffna and the date for issuing cloaks will be notified in due course.
Dues to the University
Degree certificates will not be issued to those who fail to discharge any liabilities or dues to the University.
